So I decided today that it would be a good idea to blog about life as a proud army wife and mother to two beautiful twins. HMM...Hopefully this whole blogging thing will come easy to me. I guess for my first blog I should introduce myself. So here goes nothing...
Hey Yall!! lol
My name is Lauren and I am 23 years old close to 24. I have had a pretty interesting life and I wouldn't change it for the world. I am a former air force brat so I have moved around my whole life so I have no real true place I call home. I would say that my heart is in Georgia :) I just love the warm weather, flip flops and that south Georgia twang ! I was born in Alaska, and have lived in Nebraska, New Jersey, Delaware, South Carolina, Germany, Georgia. I am now currently residing in good ole Texas.
I met my husband through very interesting terms. I actually picked him off of myspace! LOL. To make a long story short we instantly fell in love and got married in June of 2006. I'm not the typical Army wife who knew there husband before they got in and went through the whole basic and AIT thing. We met while he already had 4 years in service. We have been through a deployment to Iraq together and a unaccompanied tour to Korea. (Let me tell you its much different when its you spouse not your father). We have been through are ups and downs but are very much in love. Just the thought of him still puts a smile on my face and I am so thankful to have such a loving and caring husband and father to my children.
Now for the kiddos ! Chloe and Carter are my sweet little almost 8 month olds :) They are truly are little miracles. Cyle and I struggled with infertility for over a year and a half. I went through 4 rounds of Chlomid unsuccessfully. After be so disappointed with the Chlomid being unsuccessful we moved on to Follistim injectibles. We honestly did not think it would work and were pretty much going to give up for a while since Cyle was headed to Korea and we were continuously being disappointed with several failed attempts. To our surprise we found out we were pregnant with twins. This was a complete shock to us especially since the Doc had said it would be a miracle.
Im not going to lie being a mother of twins is not the fun and glamorous thing. The constant questions and gawking over them does get annoying. The lack of sleep certainly sucks as well. At the end of the day I truly thank the big man upstairs for these beautiful babies. They make me feel complete and having someone who truly loves you unconditionally is pro bally the most amazing feeling in the world. I am tearing up just typing this looking over at them sleeping so innocently in there bouncers :)
Currently I am going to school to get my bachelors in Education. ( definitely not English, as you can tell from my grammar LOL). I have been going to school forever! I have almost enough credit to have my masters but from moving so much and credits not transferring I basically got screwed. This may sound a little crazy but as of late I have been really thinking about switching majors all together. But I think the smart choose would be to suck it up and just finish it out. I would love to be a large animal vet or even a farrier.
So this is me ..take it or leave... I am what I am .. My life is a crazy one but I wouldn't have it any other way :)
